On May 15–16th, the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Organic Production and Food Security: Digital Technologies and Innovations was held at the Polissya Digital Innovation Hub “POLIDIH” based at Polissia National University. For the second consecutive year, representatives of the AGROSUS project actively contributed to the organization and implementation of this important event.

The hybrid-format conference gathered over 150 participants, including members of the academic community, governmental institutions, the agribusiness sector, rural communities, and the broader public from across Ukraine and international partner countries.

The audience was warmly welcomed by Karen Mapusua, President of IFOAM Organics International, and Oleksandr Kaliberda, Project Manager of the German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Agriculture.

The event served as a dynamic platform for discussing innovative solutions in the organic sector, the application of digital monitoring tools, quality standards for organic products, the role of bioproducts and modern farming methods, and European approaches to agricultural production. Special focus was given to green technologies as tools for increasing environmental efficiency and as key components in implementing the European Green Deal in agriculture.

AGROSUS was represented by Tetiana Fedoniuk from Polissia National University. She gave a presentation titled Innovative Weed Management: AGROSUS Project Experience,” where she introduced the AGROSUS project and shared key outcomes, including the launch of our weed database.

During the plenary session, several insightful presentations were delivered, including: Yevhen Milovanov (Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine) – Major Challenges for the Organic Movement in Ukraine and Worldwide, Eva Lace (STC Certification Body, Latvia) – Innovative Solutions in Certification Activities; Gerald Herrmann (ECOLAND Grains & Legumes, Germany) – GIS for Certification Data and Fraud Prevention; Mustafa Akyüz (ETKO, Turkey) – Innovative Traceability Approaches: From Field to Shelf.
