AGROSUS participated in the 20th European Weed Research Society Symposium (EWRS 2025), held for the first time in Spain, in the city of Lleida, from July 1–4, 2025.
Under the theme “Joint Approaches for Sustainable Weed Management”, the symposium brought together researchers, experts, and stakeholders from across Europe to present recent advances in weed science and to promote sustainable strategies for weed control.
As part of the programme, AGROSUS contributed to the session on “Agroecological Weed and Crop Management”, one of twelve thematic sessions featured at the event. Our partner Yedra Vieites from UVigo represented AGROSUS with both an oral and a poster presentation titled: “Agroecological strategies for sustainable weed management: insights from stakeholder co-creation“ and “Agroecological Strategies for Sustainable Weed Management in Vineyards: Insights from the AGROSUS Project.” Additionally, we had the opportunity to meet with our colleagues from GOOD, AGROSUS’s sister project, and exchange updates and insights on recent developments.
We were happy to participate in this international symposium which supports knowledge-transfer and develop effective, sustainable weed management practices that contribute to agroecological transitions in European farming systems.
