The AGROSUS Annual Meeting 2025 successfully took place from 22 to 25 July in Cappadocia, Turkey, hosted by our partners at MTÜ. Over the course of four days, project partners, the Scientific Advisory Board, the invited related projects and our project officer from the European Commission came together to assess progress, exchange knowledge, and reinforce collaboration across the AGROSUS initiative.
First day – 22nd July
Before the General Assembly started, all workpackage leaders gathered for a special Executive Committee Session in which they reviewed the latest results of the project and aligned on the next steps for each work package.
Second day – 23rd July
The General Assembly meeting began with a warm welcome from Ibrahim Halil (MTÜ) the host of this event, followed by a keynote speech from Bertrand Dumont (INRAE) Project Coordinator of the Agroecology to Transect project. The day continued with presentations from the Work Package leaders, focusing on achievements, current challenges, and planned activities for the coming months.
In the afternoon, the UVIGO organized three parallel workshops, fostering interactive discussions and knowledge exchange among participants. Moreover, we had the opportunity to discuss with the Project Officer our review results and the upcoming steps to follow.
Third day – 24th July
The third day featured detailed presentations by project partners, showcasing their field and laboratory work conducted across the AGROSUS biogeographical regions.
FEUGA performed an exploitation workshop highligthing the analysis made so far regarding the one to one meetings with partners related to the key exploitable results. Partners learnt some possible roadmaps to market uptake their results based on their desired future use.
A key highlight of the day was the Advisory Board Session, which brought expert feedback and strategic perspectives to the discussion. We were honored to welcome:

The day concluded with a networking session involving BIOSERVICES project opening new paths for collaboration and cross-project synergy.
Fourth day – 25th July
The final day included a field visit, the participants had the opportunity to observe firsthand the ancestral agroecological strategies used 2000 BC by the Hittites.
The AGROSUS Annual Meeting 2025 was a key milestone in reinforcing collective efforts toward more sustainable agroecology across Europe. We extend our sincere thanks to MTU for hosting the event and to all partners, advisory board members, and guest projects for their valuable contributions. We now look forward to our Mid-Term Event, which will be held in Brussels in November 2025.
