Today, Friday 24th October, our partners from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) are organizing the third edition of the International Women in Agroecology Conference in Betxí (Castellón, Spain).
Our colleagues Mercedes Verdeguer and Natalia Torres are taking part in this event alongside Mª Dolores Raigón Jiménez, Advisory Board member of AGROSUS and Vice President of the Spanish Society of Organic Agriculture (SEAE), which forms part of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), representing the global organic and agroecological farming community.
This event provides a valuable space for reflection and exchange of local and international initiatives focused on the role of rural women in agroecology. We are proud that AGROSUS has a strong representation of women within its team, actively contributing to research, innovation, and communication in sustainable agriculture.
This year’s edition is also part of the XII Cultivated Biodiversity Fair of Valencia, strengthening the connection between biodiversity, sustainability, and gender equality in agriculture.
Thanks Novessendes Foundation, and the Paz con Dignidad Association for the great organization!
