The International Forum on Agroecosystem Living Labs, held in Burdeaux (France) on October 15–17, 2025, gathered over 200 participants from around the world including scientists, farmers, policymakers, and community representatives to discuss innovative approaches for developing Agroecosystem Living Labs. These collaborative platforms connect research and practice to co-create sustainable solutions for agriculture, environmental protection, and resilient food systems.
Our partners from Polissia National University (PNU) represented AGROSUS at this event. They presented the agroecological weed management strategies being developed and tested in Ukraine (Continental and Steppic Region) within the AGROSUS framework. They also had the opportunity to exchange experiences with international Living Labs and Lighthouses, strengthening cooperation between European and Ukrainian actors in building resilient and herbicide-free agroecosystems.
The programme included panel discussions, thematic sessions, field visits, and exchanges of best practices from Europe, Canada, Latin America, and Africa, highlighting the global progress in living lab methodologies for agroecological transformation.
