AGROSUS will hold its Mid-Term Event under the umbrella of the Digital Agroecology Cluster Conference, taking place in Brussels at L42, Rue de la Loi 42, on 17–18 November. This key event will bring together policymakers, researchers, advisors, farmers, and innovators to explore how digital technologies can foster sustainable farming and agroecological practices. Organised by PATH2DEA, the conference gathers eight EU-funded initiatives working at the intersection of digitalisation and agroecology, offering a unique platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange: PATH2DEA, REFOREST, Farmtopia, GOOD – AGrOecOlogy for weeDs, D4AgEcol, AGROSUS, Agroserv and Agroecology Partnership.
AGROSUS – Mid-Term Event
The Mid-Term Event will kick off on the first day of the conference featuring a dedicated networking session and project booths. To break the ice, Esther Valiño and Tamara Rodríguez from FEUGA will lead an interactive networking activity that will help participants get to know each other’s backgrounds, interests, and perspectives. An open networking session will follow, where attendees would have the opportunity to engage with cluster members, explore the booths, and discover each project’s approach to digital agroecological tools.
On the second day, the Mid-Term continues with a co-creation workshop, “Sustaining the Future of Agroecological Tools,” which will showcase the digital tools developed by the cluster members. The objective is to collectively identify key challenges and opportunities related to usability, barriers, target users, and integration of digital tools. Participants will share insights, analyze experiences, and co-create a visual map highlighting main challenges and opportunities for improvement, collaboration, and innovation. Adela Sánchez Moreiras, AGROSUS Coordinator, will actively participate in the workshop, engaging in discussions and addressing participants’ questions. She will also be attending the event, available to share insights and network with other initiatives.
AGROSUS – Cluster Conference
As an active member of the Digital Agroecology Cluster, AGROSUS will also take part in some of the conference sessions: On the first day, Oliver Weiss (AGROSUS advisor specialized in organic and agroecological agriculture) will join the panel discussion “Barriers, Opportunities, and Policy Needs”, contributing to the dialogue on how to overcome challenges and enhance policy support for agroecological innovation. On the second day, Luis Emmi (CSIC) will take part in the session “Digital Tools, Evaluation, and Practical Applications” sharing insights on the practical implementation of software modules, robotics, and drones in sustainable farming.
Take a look at the full programme here! We can’t wait to be there, join us next week to explore the future of sustainable agroecology tools!
The Mid-Term Event marks the halfway point of the AGROSUS journey, a perfect moment to reflect on progress, share knowledge, and shape the future of agroecological strategies in Europe.
