On 9 March 2026, our colleagues from UPCT hosted the 2nd AGROSUS Focus Group at Finca Rambla la Vera in Yecla (Murcia, Spain), bringing together 24 farmers and technical experts from across the Mediterranean region.

The session focused on on assessing current knowledge and identifying the main barriers to the adoption of agroecological practices for weed prevention and control in Mediterranean woody cropping systems. Participants engaged in a comprehensive discussion on policy updates that could facilitate the adoption of these practices, as well as on the identification of key actors who can support and accelerate this transition.

This event reflects AGROSUS’s efforts to strengthen collaboration between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, fostering knowledge exchange and ensuring that sustainable agroecological solutions are effectively disseminated and adopted in Mediterranean agriculture.
