AGROSUS was honored to be invited to the 17th Spanish National Environmental Congress (CONAMA), held in Madrid at IFEMA from December 2nd to 5th, 2024. CONAMA is a premier event that brings together environmental stakeholders from across Spain and beyond, serving as a platform to discuss key issues related to the environment, sustainability, and future challenges. It fosters dialogue and drives action towards sustainable solutions.

AGROSUS participated on December 3rd, during the afternoon session. David López González, a researcher from our partner team at University of Vigo (UVigo), represented our project at the congress. David presented AGROSUS’s objectives and progress, showcasing our efforts to prevent and manage weed occurrences in key crops across conventional, organic, and mixed farming systems. He highlighted how AGROSUS is developing agroecological strategies across the eleven biogeographical regions of the European Union and associated countries. Also, our methodology, perspective, current situation and results as well as our future expectations were key on his presentation.

This was a fantastic opportunity for AGROSUS to share our findings with the Spanish community and demonstrate how our work contributes to advancing sustainability in the agricultural sector. We look forward to continuing our efforts and engaging with other leaders in sustainability to drive lasting environmental change.
