On 15 February, our Romanian partners from the League of Romanian Agricultural Producers Associations (LAPAR) held a co-creation workshop of the Steppic Bioregion. The event counted with the participation of 22 stakeholders between farmers, representatives of farmers associations, consultants and academics. It was also attended by pedologists and weed specialists.

The meeting was hosted in the Aula of the Romanian Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences and started with the presentation of the AGROSUS project, including the project methodology, the bioregions and countries involved, as well as the mention of all the crops to be tested and the objectives and ambitions of the project.

After the reception and the presentation of the project, the farmers who will host the experimental fields presented the type of soil and pedological conditions of their farms and the reserve of weed seeds. In Romania there will be both arable crops (barley, rapeseed and soya) and vineyards. Therefore, the following discussion focused on crop cultivation and protection, including the most problematic weeds and agro-ecological measures to prevent and control them. The final evaluation of the results was also part of the discussion.
